clarinet

The clarinet is a woodwind instrument that requires a reed to make a sound. To play the clarinet, the mouthpiece goes in your mouth and you blow into it. The reed vibrates to make the sound. Fingers cover holes and press down keys to change the pitch.

The clarinet can play low and very high. It often has the melody or main tune of a song. In advanced music, the clarinet section will play melody and harmony. They will have very fast and technical passages which can make it very fun to play.
